RICHARD MILLE RM 35-03 AUTOMATIC RAFAEL NADAL – BLUE QUARTZ TPT®
One of Richard Mille's most iconic sports watches and one of the most recognizable models in the collection developed in collaboration with Rafael Nadal. The RM 35-03 Automatic Rafael Nadal was the fourth member of the RM 035 family and required three years of development, introducing one of the manufacture's most unique technical innovations: the patented butterfly rotor.
This configuration combines a striking tonneau case crafted from blue and white Quartz TPT®, materials composed of multiple ultra-thin layers of silica that create a unique striation pattern on each piece. Its dimensions are 49.95 x 43.15 mm, with a thickness of 13.15 mm, maintaining Richard Mille's characteristic combination of striking visual presence and lightweight design.
The fully skeletonized dial reveals the automatic caliber RMAL2, with its mainplate and bridges crafted from grade 5 titanium. Its main innovation is the Butterfly Rotor, whose operation can be directly controlled by the wearer. The pusher at 7 o'clock activates Sport Mode, modifying the geometry of the rotor's two weights to balance it and temporarily halting automatic winding during high-intensity activities. An ON/OFF indicator at 6 o'clock displays the system's status at all times.
At 2 o'clock, a function selector allows the wearer to choose between winding, neutral position, and time setting, with the selected function indicated by a specific indicator. The RMAL2 caliber operates at 4 Hz, features 38 jewels, a double barrel system, and offers approximately 55 hours of power reserve.
