RIPLEY MARRIAGE / WEDDING KEROSENE STAND LAMP, translucent starch blue fonts and alabaster/clambroth match holder, embossed "D. C. RIPLEY & CO" and "PAT PENDING" to the support arches below the match holder, opaque white Gem base, brass screw connector, No. 1 brass fine-line collars. Fitted with No. 1 "COLLINS" burners and acid-etched slip chimneys with matching decoration depicting portraits of a Victorian lady and a floral band. Ripley & Co. Third quarter 19th century. 11 3/4" H to top of collar, 4 3/4" SQ base.
Lamp undamaged; one chimney having a flake to the fitter. Scattered discolored annealing lines to the underside of the base, as made.
