One of the most exciting releases of Baselworld 2016, the Daytona Cosmograph ref. 116500 features an updated Cerachrom ceramic tachymeter bezel on top of its 40 mm stainless steel Oyster case, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and screw-down Triplock winding crown. Originally designed as a tool watch for professional automotive racers, the Daytona is equipped with the extremely precise Caliber 4130 self-winding movement, which features a blue Parachrom hairspring and a 72-hour power reserve. This particular example is fitted with a black dial to complement its black Cerachrom bezel. Although this reference first debuted several years ago, it remains one of the most sought-after watches in the world today, with waitlists at authorized retailers several years in length.
Condition Report:
This ref. 116500 Daytona is in exceptional condition, and shows virtually no signs of wear or use. The case of the watch appears to be entirely unpolished, and both the watch and bracelet are free from significant marks and blemishes. Additionally, this ref. 116500 Daytona is still accompanied by its original box, hang tags, and papers, which correspond to a purchase date of March, 2018.
