ROSENGART AUTOMOBILES - c.1930
“STOCK”
Rare and impressive original double-sided lithographed advertising sheet metal.
121 x 83 cm. “Imp. Max Cremnitz”
In excellent condition—
featuring beautifully fresh, softer colors on one side due to exposure, along with good original luster.
There are scattered, subtle signs of wear and a localized tear near the lower mounting point.
The original perforations still have their brass eyelets intact.
This superb double-sided garage sign in blue, white, and red is a testament to French craftsmanship from the interwar period.
The brand, featuring the French rose emblem, was founded in 1928 by Lucien Rosengart in Neuilly-sur-Seine and was initially known for its LR2 city cars, produced under license from the British Austin 7. Famous for its economical models and later for its elegant innovations, such as the pre-war Supertraction with independent front suspension, the company permanently ceased production in 1955.
