PROVENANCE: From the collection of Ezawa Noriyo. Ezawa NoriyoÂ’s father's family was a tea ceremony family in Japan; this family has collected and holds porcelains from many dynasties in their family for generations. In 1939s, NoriyoÂ’s father came to the United States to study Western Modern Art and continued to buy a lot of Chinese porcelain. This family has never returned back to Japan ever since. Noriyo is over sixty years old, he inherited these artworks and commissioned an auction.
