in the style of Louis XVI, France, middle of the 19th century.
The table top features a central reserve in micro-mosaic in a malachite surround, depicting doves on a water bowl after a model from Antiquity. The central reserve is surrounded by pietra-dura and meander frieze. The foot is made of gilt bronze, with 3 scrolled legs, on castors.

The micro-mosaic depicting doves on a water bowl dates back to a Greek model from Antiquity, which was discovered in the Hadrian Villa in Rome and is now kept in the Capitoline Museums.
