RUDOLF HESS'' PERSONAL CRYSTAL INKWELL
A crystal inkwell owned and used by Deputy Fuhrer and Minister RUDOLF HESS (1894-1987). The inkwell is 2 in. square on all sides and bears a hinged brass lid. The top of the lid bears a professionally accomplished period engraving of Hess' unique ""R H"" monogram which appears to have been undertaken ca. 1925 or earlier. The inkwell is well-used, with dried ink remaining within, acid oxidation to the underside of the lid and rim, and small chip to the crystal at the rear of the inkwell. From a grouping of Hess relics held by a respected collector.
