RUSSIAN, ENGLISH, AND CONTINENTAL STERLING AND OTHER SILVER ARTICLES, LOT OF SIX, comprising a Russian 875 silver sugar shovel, an English sterling spoon from 1796 by Peter and Ann Bateman of London, a silver cup with engraved designs to its faceted sides having an Austro-Hungarian import mark and a "13" mark probably for 812 silver fineness, an Austrian 800 silver small cup, and two silver-plated pairs of tongs by Wurttembergische Metallwarenfabrik of Germany. Each with various marks, sugar shovel with an 84 zolotniki mark, a St. Petersburg city mark, an assay mark for Aleksandr Timofeyevich Shevyakov, 1894 date marks, and an unidentified "PJS maker's mark. Total weight excluding two silver-plated tongs: 5.915 ozt. Late 18th/19th/20th century.

Condition: Each with expected wear and surface scratches from use; English spoon with slight bending to handle, a few minor dents to bowl, and a worn bowl tip; taller cup with minor denting to base; both tongs with tarnishing and a few worn spots to silver.

Size: Cups 2 3/4" and 3 1/8" H.
