RUSSIAN ICON SAINTS SAMON, GURI, AND AVIV, 1886. Comprising an attractive fully painted icon depicting the three Saints whose patronage is fidelity in marriage. Each figure painted full length and identified with corresponding inscriptions. The upper margin depicting Christ as the Lord Almighty within an arched reserve. The entire image overlaid with a silver gilt repoussé and chased oklad, hallmarked Moscow, dated 1886 Cyrillic maker's marks IG and 84 silver standard. An attractive icon in original, untouched condition. 10.5 inches x 8.75 inches (26.5 x 23.5 cm).
