RUSSIAN IMPERIAL PORCELAIN KREMLIN SERVICE PLATE C. 1850. Comprising a porcelain dessert plate from the Kremlin Service, Imperial Porcelain Factory St. Petersburg. The center of the cavetto painted with a black double-headed Imperial Eagle with crown, orb and scepter and surrounded by a gilt band inscribed "Nicholas the Emperor & Ruler of all the Russias." The elaborate border decorated with blue and green flowers against a burnished gilt ground. Underside with cypher of Nicholas I. Diameter 8.75 inches (22.3 cm).
