Ngenayindi-ningi jarrak wanemayinde-ngirri. Gijam jarrak wanemayin-ngirri. Bal
wanemayinde-ngirri thuwuthum-burru. "Berrema marnum benemurlunnha-ngerruwa." Bina
ngenanyji-ngu warnawarnarram burrunbu-ngarri ngarrgalem. "Jarrak-karri yarrurn berrem
marnum garawanyji junbumurlunnha-ngarri nyingiyanggurrum. Bal berne-birri berrem
-manum-yuwurru Gijam."
I used to go to him and he used to talk to me. He talked to me in Gija language. He told me about everything. "You remember my words. I am teaching you about all the old places here.
