Biography: Rafael Hastings (Peru, 1945-2020) Peruvian painter. He studied painting in Louvain, in the Fine Arts Academy in Brussels and in the Royal College of Art in London. His first solo show in Brussels was presented by Jean-Luc Godard and Maurice B?jart. During his artistic career, he achieved more than a hundred solo shows around the world. His work is represented in prestigious museums such as the Fine Arts Museum of Berlin, Museum of Modern Art in New York, Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris, Fine Art Museum of Lima and in numerous and recognized private collections such as Banco Lambert Collection Brussels, Jessop Collection Melbourne, Asuma Collection ? Tokio, El?as Collection, Rodrigo & Medrano ? Lima, and Fishbourne Collection ? New York. He has received several awards: Premio Codex of Latin American Painting, Premio Biennal Medell?n, Premio Biennal Paris, Premio de la Cr?tica Alemana, among others. His works have been the subject of many case studies, essays, articles, films, videos, and books and there is a project for a complete edition of all his body of work.

Any fully paid item remaining uncollected for more than three (3) months will be considered abandoned property and may be disposed of at the discretion of Coral Gables Auction.
