Barnadas, with his outlined style, went beyond the lessons learnt from from realism and impressionism and he managed to be a member of the evolutionist avant-garde in the Catalonia of the time. Throughout his career, Barnadas showed his works in different exhibitions, among which we can highlight the ones held in Galerías Laietanes in 1927 and 1928 and in Sala Barcino in 1933, 1924, 1935 and 1936, both of them in Barcelona. He was also awarded with the first watercolour prize for his work “Gallinas” at the IX Concurso Provincial de Arte, organised by the Diputación of Gerona. After his death his works continued to be exhibited to the public. In 2006, the Centro Cultural Fonta de Oro in Girona hosted a retrospective exhibition dedicated to this author, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of his death, and on that same year another exhibition organised by the Caja de Girona was dedicated to him. Between December 2008 and January 2009 the gallery Las Vueltas de Olot presented a selection of his works on the occasion of the centenary of his birth. Currently, two streets carry his name; one in his home town, Olot, and another one in the city of Girona.
