DUFY Raoul is a lithographer painter born June 3, 1877 in Le Havre and died March 23, 1953 in Forcalquier. In 1900, he moved to Paris and was part of the Fauve movement. In 1910, he produced woodcuts printed on fabrics for their oriental renderings.

He experienced his period of maturity with “Marseille” from 1926 at the Museum of Fine Arts in Brussels, “Vue de Sainte Address” from 1924 in Basel in 1931, “Les courses de Deauville” for the Private Collection in Paris in 1935, on the Theme of the sea in 1937, Decor for the electricity fairy, at the Electricity Pavilion of the Universal Exhibition in Paris, at the Palais de Chaillot in Paris. It was also exhibited at the Amsterdam museums “Le paddock-régates” in 1938, Art Institute of Chicago “Open window” in 1928, D’Art Moderne Paris “La terrasse de café aux Martigues” in 1904, “Les trois baigneuses” in 1919, “Acrobats on circus horse” in 1923 and 1924, Basel “View of Holy Address” in 1924, Copenhagen “Sun effect” in 1906, “Interior with Hindu” in 1930, in New York “Anglers » around 1908, “Portrait of Madame Raoul Dufy” in 1930, in Rotterdam “The carriage in the Bois de Boulogne” in 1909, Tate Gallery in London “Deauville, the sails that dry” in 1933 and in Washington “Castle and horses” in 1930.
