[ translate ]

Ancient Near East, Anatolian, ca. 2nd millennium BCE. A lovely and rare polychrome vessel from a culture much better known for its grey schist statues and stelae. The form presents a bulbous body with a rounded shoulder and ever so slightly rolled rim that sits stably on a flat base. A very special example! Size: 5.25" in diameter x 4.25" H (13.3 cm x 10.8 cm)

Provenance: ex-Dere Family Collection, NY acquired in 1980's-2000's
