Literature
The vintage Coca-Cola Glascock Junior ice cooler is a highly collectible, scaled-down chest manufactured by the Glascock Bros. Manufacturing Co. out of Muncie, Indiana, around 1929–1931. Measuring roughly 17.5" x 17.5" x 30.5", the Junior model held half the capacity of the standard Glascock chest—typically accommodating 36 bottles and about 25 lbs of ice. Design: Compact, square metal body typically standing on metal legs, featuring embossed "Drink Coca-Cola" or "Ice Cold" advertising signage on the exterior panels.Capacity: 36-bottle soda capacity (one case split or half-size compared to the standard 72-bottle Glascock cooler). Because of its smaller footprint and lower production numbers compared to the standard models, the Junior version is harder to find, making it sought after by serious petroliana and soda memorabilia collectors.
