Rare / Delicate Romano-Egyptian Glass Footed Dish

Egypt, Romano-Egyptian period, ca. 30 BCE to 2nd century CE. A delicate blown glass bowl - shallow, standing on a delicate ring foot, with inwardly-curved sides. This may have been used for holding salt or some other condiment at the table. Time has given the surface an incredible pearlescence that almost completely obscures the original color of the glass. Size: 2.3" W x 1.2" H (5.8 cm x 3 cm)

Condition Report: Repaired on one side. Repairs are well done and almost invisible. Incredible near-complete pearlescent covering. Pontil mark is worn away/lost. A pontil scar or mark indicates that a vessel was free-blown, while the absence of such a mark suggests that the work was either mold-blown or that the mark was intentionally smoothed away or wore away over time.
