Rare Hardy St. George Tournament Fly Reel
Built between 1936 and 1938 according to Hardy reel historian John Drewett, this 3 1/4" diameter reel was also limited in production as well. The weight reducing frame and perforated spool on both flanges made for an incredibly light reel for tournament casting, this one in VG overall condition, with a ribbed alloy foot and three-screw spool latch. Internally, the reel is stamped with maker initials "J.S.", and on the tail plate side, one of the cross bars is stamped "Hardy Bros Ltd - Makers - Alnwick Eng". Showing light finish wear, a Hardy model few have ever owned.
