Rare Inland Division "X Suffix" M1 Carbine Semi Automatic Rifle 30 Carbine
This M1 Carbine was made by Inland Division in 1943. In mid to late 1943, Inland and Saginaw both produced receivers in the same serial number block from 940,001 to 952,000. To separate the duplicate numbers, the Inland receivers had an "X" added to the end of the serial numbers. This M1 features a guarded blade front sight on an 18" Marlin barrel fitted under a 4 rivet handguard. The receiver is marked "US Carbine Cal. 30M1, Inland Div" and is fitted with an adjustable rear aperture sight and flat bolt. The trigger guard is fitted with a push button safety and magazine release. The stock is fitted with a checkered steel butt plate and is marked with the flaming bomb cartouche and "IO" in the sling cutout. Includes one 15 round magazine. LOP: 13 1/4". CALIBER/GA: 30 Carbine. Bore is shiny with good rifling, and mechanics are good. Shiny finish on the stock with a few dings. Oxidation spots visible on the butt plate. ME 1
