Rare Libbey Wedgemere Cut Glass Oversized Whiskey Decanter

This is an amazing piece of cut glass from the American Brilliant period. It is a large oversized whiskey decanter and is cut in the rare Wedgemere pattern by Libbey. Both the decanter and the stopper are signed by Libbey. This design was patented on July 7, 1891 by W.C. Anderson for Libbey. This pattern is one of their most sought after designs for collectors.

There is a shot glass shown in the photo which is not included in the sale and is for comparison purpose only. This design has large hobstars, notched miters, and crosshatached diamonds. The handle is cut to match. The base has a rayed star. Ca. 1900

Dimensions: 11"h. x 6.5"dia.
