Hermes was founded by Thierry Hermes in 1837 in Paris. The first line of Hermes ties was produced in the 1950s. Initially, they were sold in the brand store in Monte Carlo. The boutique was located next to the world-famous casino, where a strict dress code was observed and where men were not allowed without a tie. As a rule, those who forgot to wear such an important accessory went to nearby boutiques in search of the necessary accessory.
