Rare Master Casting Indiana Style Reel

Originating in Winnipeg, Manitoba, this Canadian entry into Indiana style reels was patented by August John Bukoske, and sold by the Bicycle Sales Co. Patented on August 7th, 1923, this very high quality eight arm, cast aluminum reel is fitted with two turned wooden handle grasps, has an original off-set foot and coin edge knurled drag/spool nut. A very rare Indiana style reel, in Ex- condition due mostly to a few plating flakes to the foot, this exact reel appearing on page 6 of Manitoba Fishing Tackle by Dr. Richard Rounds.
