Rare Poster for a Performance of "The Tragedy of Richard III" by William Shakespeare Played at the Ochoty Theater, Warsaw, 1976, Designed by Andrzej Pągowski, scene of the king's portrait with a distorted crown seeming as blood spilling. In good condition: reasonable yellowing to the paper, light wrinklings, tear to the upper left corner. 95X65 cm. *Andrzej Pągowski - poster artist and one of the most celebrated Polish graphic designers, native of Warsaw 1953. Alumnus of the Poznań Arts University at a studio directed by Professor Waldemar Świerzy. Applicable graphic design is his field. He collaborates with different magazines - serving as the artistic director of the Polish Playboy edition, as well as owning and creative directing of KreacjaPro. A prominent representative of the Communist period's Posters Without Commercials Art, he manage to take advantage of the financial makeover of 1989 and quickly became very successful in the field of creative advertising.
