About this Item: No Publisher Listed., Probably Washington, D. C., 1895. Condition: Very Good. First Edition Thus. Very Rare. Stiff cream softcover printed wraps, 7 1/4" x 9 3/4". Unpaginated text, 48 interior pages . Portraits of Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Frances E. Willard, Kate Brownlee Sherwood, Isabella Brecher Hooker, Jean Brooks Greenleaf, Mary Eastman, and many more, some with biographies. Contains many interesting advertisements and illustrations. Some very minor discoloration/rubbing to wraps. 2 very tiny archival closed tear repairs and a couple small minor scuffs/wrinkles on front wrap, not affecting lettering. Minor 1"chip on top of spine on the outer layer of the wrap and has no affect as the spine was not lettered. Almost VG+. Profusely illustrated interior in nice condition. Many b/w portraits and ads; 4to ; 48 pages. The National Council of Women was organized in 1888 and incorporated in 1891. A very rare, interesting and informational piece of Women's suffrage, rights, leadership and temperance reform with the full hourly descriptive 2 week schedule including the names listed of all the speakers of all the various councils.
