Rare and Fine 17th C. Pappenhimer Rapier Sword, German, French or Italian. With its elaborate steel furniture having swept-hilt guard with additional large pierced shells, wooden grip with remains of its original wired bondage. mounted with a long double edged blade of the oval cross-section for most of its length, the lower blade with large fullers containing struck maker's names, lower ricasso with additional struck maker's mark to each side.
