Rare & Fine 19th C. Mexican Officer's Rapier Sword
A very fine and seldom encountered example, having elaborate iron hilt mounts profusely decorated with heavily inlaid silver,featuring a leather bound wood grip and retaining its original lining on the inside of the dish guard. mounted with a straight double edged blade of oval cross section, housed inside an all steel scabbard. A very attractive and rare weapon for an officer of Mexican army.Sword is 38 1/2", blade is 31".
