Rare and important vase Emile Galle, Nancy, ca. 1897 Colourless glass, ground marbled with blue silicate particles and with a powdered, thin yellowish overlay. Deepened on the front side, in the manner of the ''Intaglio'' cut, three carp fish. Iridescent colouring due to the application of metal compounds, etched and polished. On the side wall as ornamental lettering in needle etching inscribed: Galle. Restored/glued to the neck. H. 15 cm. Lit.: Prof Dr. S.
