Rare frieze - carved and lacquered wood - 18th century
A rare Way of the Cross consisting in several high-reliefs, complete (please see the many photos enclosed) , composed of 14 hand-painted pieces of extraordinary quality. Origin: a private chapel in Italy (Tuscany) Dimensions: width 30 cm, height 17 cm, depth 4 cm. Material: hand painted terracotta and plaster. Estimated period: second half of the 19th century - first half of the 20th century. Declaration of origin: purchased in 2002 for the amount of 2,800. 00 euros (see the letter of sale enclosed with the photos) . Preservation: some normal signs of wear, slight losses and abrasions as per enclosed photos. All the stations include a metal ring for wall hanging. Shipping in boxes with protection of the individual pieces. Shipping with the utmost care. I will not send the wood panel shown in photos because it would cost too much. A very interesting item for discerning collectors.
