The group is also listed in Kaendler's work reports in October 1745: Eine Grouppe im Modell zerschnitten, Welche einen Podograisten so auf einem Cannapee schreyend sietzet, und ein Frauen Zimmer nebst unreschiedliche Wein Poutellien neben sich hat, zum Waaren Laager' [the model of a group cut up, in which a gout-sufferer is seated yelling on a sofa, and has a figure of a lady along with various wine bottles next to him, to the warehouse].

Based on the engraving "La Courtisanne amoureuse" from jean de La Fontaine's Contes et nouvelles en vers, published in Amsterdam in 1685; or "La courtisanne amoureuse", by Pierre Filloeul after Jean Baptiste Pater, from the series Suite de Larmessin, published in Paris in 1736.
