[ translate ]

Important and rare sideboard from the early 17th century. Southern Netherlands. This cabinet is depicted in the book Het Meubel by Dr. Anne Berendsen. She was curator of the Prinsenhof museum in Delft. The cabinet belonged to Mrs Kooreman-Bolten in Rotterdam. You will receive the book with the purchase. It is a five door cabinet, above three small doors and below two doors with cornice panels. Kornis panels is a layout that is typically renaissance. The cabinet is over 400 years old. Beautiful quarter-sawn oak and a beautiful patina over the years. The case stands on early bobbin feet. Continuous styles with a base plate. That is also an early type of leg. Beautiful inlay work in the doors at the top - see detailed photos. The locks that are in it now are no longer the original. They are 17th and 18th century but later. The doors pivot on forged long pivots. (original) There is a hook in the top center of the canopy. The cabinet is very authentic as it is, I didn't do too much to it, just treated and polished it with real homemade beeswax. This way the patina is respected. high 176, wide 153 and deep 56 cm.
