Detailed and captivating map of the oil fields of New Mexico, with graphic depictions of the oil derricks and pumps. Ownership of the fields is shown, plus rivers, towns, cities, and Native American reservations. Noted is "Oil and gas data from Dean E. Winchester, New Mexico Bureau of Mines and other leading geologists' maps..." OCLC does not list the present map, but it does list a similar map, on which is indicated that the Winchester data is from his 1931 map. That similar map, dated 1946, is a bit smaller than the present map, and OCLC notes it as "is a reduced size print of large size map."
