Marvelous, captivating and entertaining pictorial map in semi-cartoon style, showing the old walled city with some surrounding vistas, with such details as the Old Execution Grounds, the Marco Polo Bridge, the Altar of Heaven, Thieves Market, the Imperial City, the Forbidden City, camel caravans, coolies, a funeral procession, a wedding procession etc. There is a series of 25 vignettes at the top and right edges depicting the history of Peiping, from the birth of the original Chou City (which was destroyed many times) to "Today - Cultural Capital of China." Due to the size and/or weight of this lot extra shipping and/or handling charges may apply.
Condition Report: Paper a bit toned but coloring still bright, old folds, a few minor ill-creases; very good.
