Obverse: State of Israel emblem, denomination (500 Israeli Lirot), and year (5735/1974). Reverse: Portrait of David Ben-Gurion and the words "David Ben-Gurion" in Hebrew and Latin script. Diameter: 35 mm. Weight: 28 g. Silver coin. Obverse: State of Israel emblem, denomination (25 Israeli Lirot), and year (5735/1974). Reverse: Portrait of David Ben-Gurion and the words "David Ben-Gurion" in Hebrew and Latin script. Diameter: 36 mm. Weight: 26 g. The portrait of Ben-Gurion appearing on the coins was designed by Andre Lasser (based on a photograph by Alfred Bernheim). The lettering and coin face design were created by Zvi Narkiss. The pair of coins is housed in an original faux-leather case embossed with the State emblem. The case is contained within a cardboard sleeve, partially lined with velvet.
