...underglaze blue flag mark R-n, second half of the 19th century, on a curved oblong plate box-shaped mount with a hollow for the feathers and a removable container for ink and sand, all sides decorated with East Asian bird and flower decorations in cobalt blue underglaze painting, heightened with gold and iron red and gold edges, partly a little bit cracked, one corner of the plate expertly restored, rubbed off gilding, dimensions 26 x 14.5 x 6.5 cm.
