One refined antique. Jubako重箱 have five compartments and two lids. so you can separate it as two Jubakos to use, one with three compartments and one lid, another one with two compartments and one lid.

The outer surface of this fubako shows a fine gold maki-e lacquer lid decorated with many cranes in different positions. This pattern was created with great precision and detail, capturing the beauty of flowers in every nuance. The gold lacquer was applied with great skill, creating an effect of depth and three-dimensionality to the floral motif.

The interior of the Fubako and the bottom are coated with nashiji lacquer, a traditional Japanese finish that creates a thick gold dust effect over the entire surface. This finish offers a charming contrast to the glossy black exterior.
