Regency Crossbanded Mahogany Sofa Table
A Regency string inlaid and satinwood crossbanded mahogany sofa table, first quarter 19th century, the frieze fitted with a genuine full depth drawer and faux drawers to either side, the legs joined my a ring turned horizontal stretcher, ending in brass casters.
Dimensions:Height 28in; width closed 40 1/4in; width open 68 1/4in; depth 26in.
Provenance:From a Philadelphia Collection.
Condition Report: In an overall restored condition. The top with movement and age cracks, there are several scattered patches to veneers and a large rectangular patch to the left side measuring approximately 14" x 5.5". Each of the drop flaps with warping. The brass hardware is period, but appears to be replaced. One of the legs with a break just above where the brass caster attaches. No keys.
