Description: One of the largest sewing clamps any of us have ever seen: an early 19th-century English example from the late Georgian Regency period, composed of fine flame mahogany veneer with oak secondary, having a drawer and a large pincushion on top.
Condition: generally superb for its age, note a small area of veneer buckling on the side and a couple minor losses common for pieces of this age (please see photos)
Dimensions: 7 1/2” l. (Excluding screw handle) x 6 1/2” w. x 3 1/4” d.
Please note that we have examined the drawer knob under high-powered magnification and are certain it is bone and not ivory, having very typical bone patterning with marrow holes.
