A large oblong fragment of the great annual medieval parade, held in Saint-Omer at the Place Suger since 1840. A large crowd is gathered on the left side to witness the spectacle. Jacques-Auguste Regnier (1787-1860) was a French landscape painter who worked in the Romantic style. He also helped introduce the Troubadour style and was heavily influenced by English literature. His "Old Mortality" is on display at the Louvre.
