Double BAKOTA Reliquary (double relique figurine) beautiful copper work with patina of old age. This reliquary has two faces! He could see the descendants who stood before him but also the spirit world behind him thereby he could connect these worlds.
. Red copper and yellow copper studs on the front and back.
. The estimated dating is circa the middle of the last century, 1950.
. The dimensions are: height 53 cm, width 26 cm.
. Actually used tribal mask.

. Brought back by an old colonial mining engineer, the original collector of the "KASAI collection" (copper and malachite mines) who was working for the Union Minière du Haut Katanga. I also have his photo album which has pictures of the mine where he worked (which I can email) .
