Beautiful reliquary containing Ex Veste of the following Saints: Saint Lucia Virgin: Lucia of Siracusa, also known as Saint Lucia, was a Christian martyr of the early IV century during the large persecution at Emperor Diocletian's behest. She is revered as a Saint in the Catholic and Orthodox Church, which honour her memory on December 13. She is one of the seventh virgins mentioned in the Roman Canon and is traditionally invokes as a protector of sight, also due to the Latin etymology of her name (Lux=light) . St Roberto Bellarmino: In his works contributing to the controversies entrusted to him by the Holy See, Bellarmino often held an intermediate position, that limited any absolute powers. In 1590 he upset Pope Sisto V by stating that the Pope had only an indirect power to depose kings and ran the risk of his book being blacklisted. In the dispute with King James I, Bellarmino highlighted the limits of the royal power, thereby displeasing even the King of France, who in 1610 had his book publicly burned.
