Rembrandt van Rijn (1606-1669). Self-portrait in a flat cap and embroidered dress. Etching, ±1642, 8,4x6,1 cm., (vaguely) signed "Rembrandt" in the plate.
- Trimmed on/ just within the plate mark on three sides; cut short to the image in lower blank margin; tipped onto mount at top end of left margin. Printed on thin laid paper without watermark.
