Remington No. 1-1/2 rolling block

Remington No. 1-1/2 rolling block sporting target rifle in 22 caliber. The heavy octagon bull barrel measures 24'' with both a buckhorn and tang sight. The front sight is dovetailed to the barrel with a flip-up ring hood which is also dovetailed into the barrel. The plain straight stock ends in a crescent butt and the forearm in a metal Schnabel tip. The barrel bluing is worn but the marking is crisp. The barrel top is marked ''E. Remington & Sons, Ilion, N.Y.'', and the underside of the barrel is marked forward of the forearm ''22 CT G'E''. The bore is good with clear rifling. The ejector tip is missing, so the cartridge must be removed with a rod or alternate tool. This gun should make a great .22 target rifle and deserves some professional restoration. Serial # 3570.
