Renzo Frau - Poltrona Frau - Leather armchair - Fumoir

This armchair is part of the "La Collezione" collection, product name: Fumoir, made of genuine full-grain calfskin leather, with capitonnè craftsmanship, limited edition model no. 4209. Fumoir presents the elegant living room introduced in the 1920s catalogue as models 118 and 518. It is inspired by the eighteenth-century cockpit armchair with low backrest, particularly suitable for an upright posture, that is best placed around a table or in a waiting room. The entire range is equipped with brass wheels on the front characterised by the diamond-shaped seam of the backrest. The supporting structure is in seasoned beechwood. The seat springs are made from biconical steel springs tied by hand on to jute belts. The padding is in rubberised horsehair with Pelle Frau leather coating.
