Smith served as a Major under General Andrew Jackson at the Battle of New Orleans in the War of 1812, and later served as a US Indian Agent to the Chickasaw. He served in the Texas Revolution under Stephen Austin at the Siege of Bexar and as Sam Houston's Adjutant General at the time of the Battle of San Jacinto. **Fine condition.
