Signed by G.E. Mathey, a survivor the Battle of the Little Bighorn who had been the lieutenant in charge of the pack train and would become a witness in the subsequent trial of Major Marcus A. Reno. The present document requests three corn brooms and asserts that they are "absolutely requisite for the public service".
Condition Report: Ink fading somewhat, a few spots, some toning to leaf; unexamined out of frame.
