A bold retro diamond brooch, in 9Kt gold, England, circa the 1940s-1970s.; This delightful piece has been expertly crafted, in a modern bow design, out of 9 karat yellow gold. prong-set across the front are five old European round brilliant cut diamonds totaling, approximately 0.62 carats. All the gems have very good color (E-G) and clarity (VS). One of the diamonds has a small chip (SI clarity) seen under a jewelers loop that does little to detract from the overall splendor of this piece.; The brooch is in excellent vintage condition showing expected signs of wear. It weighs, approximately, 9.08 grams and measures 2.1 inches (5.3 cm) by 1.65 inches (4.2 cm). It bears the makers stamp W, 9, 375 and 9ct (confirmed with acid testing).
