Ric Eland, originally from Wisconsin, moved to Maine in 1985, where he pursued sculpture with a dedication to wildlife and conservation. He is active with the Black Bear Conservancy of New Hampshire, the National Wildlife Federation, and the Audubon Society, among other organizations. Eland writes, “I can’t save all of the animals, but I like to feel I’m doing my part to educate people, showing them the beauty of the creatures.”
