[ translate ]

"Six Squares", 1969. Color silkscreen on paper, signed and dated lower right, "A.P." lower right, matted and framed under glass, overall 29" x 40 ¾". Provenance: The American Federation of Arts; documentation available.

Considered a major force in the op art movement, Anuszkiewicz is concerned with the optical changes that occur when different high-intensity colors are applied to the same geometric configurations. His work is included in the collections of the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., the Fogg Museum of Harvard University in Cambridge, and the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Condition: Overall good, paper is loosely taped around the edges verso with aging masking tape. Some dents to frame. Margins not examined from underneath mat.
