The Born Wild © concept by Richard Orlinski explores the philosophical question of the difference between man and beast. The sculptor chose Kong, the most human of his animals, to embody The Thinker in homage to Rodin. Unlike the original's overly muscular build contrasting with a thoughtful attitude, the artist downplayed the gorillas' physical strength to focus on his thoughtful side.
