'Desdemona', the famous character of Othello by Shakespeare, dated 1873, oil on canvas, 50 x 60 cm
'Una', the famous character of 'The Faerie Queene' by Edmund Spenser, dated 1879, oil on canvas, 50 x 60 cm
Condition: - the frames are not identical
- 'Desdemona': dry cracks all over
- 'Una': flaking of the paint, the lower part with some missing pieces of paint, the paint shrank causing odd-looking wrinkles to the pigment layer
- furthermore, in our opinion, the pair is in acceptable condition.
